The Red Sea International Film Festival is back in Jeddah this December
The star-studded event will once again take place at the film festival’s headquarters in Al-Balad
Film lovers, mark your calendars because the Red Sea International Film Festival will officially be back for its sixth edition, taking over Culture Square in Historic Jeddah from Thursday December 3 to Saturday December 12.
And if previous years are anything to go by, it’s set to be a lively 10 days.

Of course, the films are the main event (trust us, there’ll be plenty worth watching), but it’s the international stars descending on Jeddah that truly steal the spotlight. Last year saw names like Adrien Brody, Ana de Armas, Dakota Johnson, Sir Michael Caine, and Rita Ora stepping onto the red carpet.
For a week or so, the city plays host to global stars and regional talent, all stepping into the same rooms, making Jeddah feel like the place everyone wanted to be.
The diverse platform celebrates every facet of filmmaking, featuring the best of Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and the rest of the world.
The festival is also an opportunity for film lovers, storytellers, and industry professionals to connect, host competitions for short and feature films, and organise masterclasses to support emerging talent.
Looking back at the 2025 edition, the scale of the festival was hard to miss. More than 100 films from over 70 countries were screened over 10 days, spanning everything from major international premieres to independent regional projects.

The official competition brought together a curated selection of titles competing for the festival’s Yusr Awards, spotlighting both established and emerging filmmakers.
Alongside the screenings, the Red Sea Souk returned as a key part of the programme, offering networking opportunities, industry talks, and project development sessions. It’s where creatives, producers, and investors come together, giving a glimpse into what’s next for regional and global cinema.
All of it unfolds against the backdrop of Historic Jeddah, where the setting itself adds to the experience.
