Riyadh has a huge cafe scene, but few of them specifically cater to families. Enter Bearu: a cafe tailored to moms, families, and children. The cafe experience here isn’t just about the drinks on the menu (although those are quite good too), but also about offering workshops for mamas, toys and play areas for the kiddos, cosy storytelling corners, and so much more. Reservations are recommended for a smoother experience and can be made here for SAR35.

You bring the people, and this spot brings the vibe. Currently in its soft opening stage, Place and People is the perfect people-focused spot serving coffee and desserts in a cosy setting. Walk in and a tempting dessert display greets you. That’s when you get in, though, as with all the new cafes in the capital, a line follows this one out the door. Don’t forget to order the tiramisu and the crunchy salted caramel (these are what drive the hype).

What: Place and People Cafe

Where: Al Malqa

When: 4pm to 12.30am daily
