First look: Inside Nusr-Et Riyadh, now open at U Walk

Today, Monday November 15, is the opening date for Nusr-Et Steakhouse Riyadh, the 28th restaurant by social media sensation Salt Bae. The huge venue has just opened its doors in popular dining district U Walk, and What’s On Saudi Arabia has had a peek inside.
Standing at the entrance of his enormous restaurant, Salt Bae (real name Nusret Gökçe) cuts a dapper figure foregoing his signature white T-shirt and sunglasses in favour of a white shirt, bow tie (and sunglasses), posing for videos and photographs with Saudi residents, fans and the What’s On Saudi team.
Through the heavy, herringbone-patterned double doors, polished tables are spread out across the huge open plan dining area, with a large oval bar covered in a display of fresh fruits near the entrance. An army of dapper, white-suited waiters wearing black gloves meander around the tables making sure everything is just so.

In the corner, slabs of meat are encased in glass display cabinets with a long butcher counter at the rear of the restaurant. There are plenty of cuts to choose from so meat-lovers are sure to find something they’ll love at Nusr-Et Riyadh.
U Walk has been one of the key attractions in Riyadh, thanks to its 900-meter-long walkway and the plethora of restaurants and cafes available. The open-air plaza also features a Muvi cinema theatre, a gym, a nail salon and spa for women, and a concept store.
