Here’s why you should attend the Ladies European Tour golf events in Jeddah

Tournaments in Jeddah inspire growth in the game…

The Aramco Saudi Ladies International presented by Public Investment Fund (PIF) kicks off this morning (November 4 to 7) at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC). And it’s still not too late to get tickets.

Then, taking place next weekend from November 10 to 12 will be the final of four Aramco Team Series events, with the Jeddah leg, following tournaments in London, Spain, and New York, which launched on the LET for the first time this year.

The new format sees three professional players team up with an amateur player. As teams, they compete to win a share of $800,000, with the best individual scorers also battling for a $200,000 prize fund.

A stellar cast for the tournaments

Some of the biggest names in women’s golf are here. Two-time major winner Lydia Ko makes her first trip to Saudi Arabia.

She’s joined by many other big-name players, including three-time major winner Anna Nordqvist, Annabel Dimmock, Carlota Ciganda, Charley Hull, Emily Kristine Pedersen, Georgia Hall, and Minjee Lee.

Celebrate female sporting excellence in Saudi

The Ladies First Club powered by Aramco – created to connect newcomers with the game – returns to Jeddah as part of the two world-class events.

Ladies First Club powered by Aramco

Sony, the global leader in electronics, and Aramco share a commitment to inclusion, diversity and empowering women in Saudi Arabia and around the globe. In partnership with Aramco Saudi Ladies International, Sony Middle East & Africa will collaborate with four trailblazing Saudi women to helm its initiative: “The Journey captured by Sony”.

Each participant will document their journey, as they are introduced to golf via the Ladies First Club powered by Aramco and partake in a year-long partnership, vlogging their experience using the Sony ZV-1 camera.

The concept will see the ladies document their learnings and experiences. They will also share their progress on their golfing journey as they attend events and participate in Pro-Am tournaments.

Get access to free golf clinics

For women and girls, there has perhaps never been a better chance to pick up a club and get involved.

Those attending both events this year will get access to free golf clinics from PGA professionals on-site. In addition, there will be various lesson types on offer, including putting, chipping, full swing, and on-course instruction.
