Now that the weather is cooling down it’s time to plan a barbecue day with your family and friends that’s packed with mouth-watering meats right off the grill.
And if you want to show off some of your grilling skills, we’re letting you in on some simple (but delicious) recipes shared with us by True Aussie Beef & Lamb and celebrated TV chef Tarek Ibrahim.
These recipes will be shared with you over the next four weeks and to start you off, here’s a the recipe for Australian lamb kofta.

Ingredients:
500g Australian lamb mince
1 medium sized brown onion (blitz in food processor to make a paste)
1 cup finely chopped Parsley (keep some aside for garnish)
1 large pinch of sea salt
Method:
- Add sea salt to the Australian lamb mince.
- Add onion paste.
- Add parsley.
- Mix all the ingredients well.
- Take a scoop of the lamb mince and shape it into a ball.
- Slide the meat ball into the skewer and gently shape it.
- Place the lamb skewers over direct heat and flip the meat until it’s cooked.
- Remove the lamb skewers from the grill.
- Garnish with parsley and serve with Arabic bread, salad and tzatziki.
