The low cost airline launches its third international flight route…

Saudi Arabia’s low-cost airline flyadeal has launched a new direct flight from Riyadh to Cairo, marking the wallet-friendly airline’s third international flight route.

As reported by the Saudi Press Agency, flights between King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Cairo International Airport in the Egyptian capital launched on Thursday January 6.

Currently, flyadeal are offering one flight per day between the two destinations, with the outbound flight departing Riyadh at 7.25pm, arriving at a local time of 9.15pm in Cairo. Inbound, the flight departs Cairo at 10.15pm, with the 2 hour 50 minute flight touching down in Riyadh at 1.45am the following morning. One-way tickets are priced from SAR 399. Perfect for a weekend getaway, one-way fares include a 7kg carry-on bag, 15kg check-in bag and a light in-flight meal.

The launch of the Riyadh to Cairo route joins the airline’s already operating international flights from Riyadh: services to Dubai and Kuwait launched last year. In total, flyadeal now flies to 16 destinations across its domestic and international network.

But those looking to add more travel to their 2022 agendas can expect more flight routes to launch soon. According to Ahmed Al-Brahim, the airline’s chief commercial and customer officer, the new flight route reflects the company’s desire to support the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 development plan, and the strategy of the Kingdom’s General Authority of Civil Aviation, by connecting the Kingdom with the world.
The company is doing this, he added, by providing budget flights that offer a variety of travel options at competitive prices, in an effort to keep pace with the growing air-transport market in the country and the wider region.
