James Blunt and Wyclef Jean to headline the first night of Diriyah E-Prix concert
The artists will perform on January 28 as part of the 2022 Formula E Diriyah E-Prix weekend…
The Kingdom is once again hosting the first and second rounds of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
The Diriyah E-Prix kicks off its eighth season around the historic desert surroundings of the Unesco World Heritage Site of Turaif on January 28 and 29.
Furthermore, fans will be pleased to know that live concerts featuring global superstars are set to return for this year’s event.
Singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer James Blunt and rapper Wyclef Jean have been announced as part of the line-up for the Friday night (January 28) after-race concerts. There will be a third headliner name ready to drop very soon.
Blunt, who’ll be performing in Saudi Arabia for the first time, has a stellar 17-year career that has spawned over 23 million album sales. He is known for his global smash hits “You’re Beautiful” and “Goodbye My Lover”.
Joining the Grammy Award-nominated singer will be Jean, more popularly known as a founding member of the acclaimed hip-hop group Fugees. The Haitian rapper is also a three-time Grammy winner who has had a successful solo career for over two decades. Jean last performed in the Kingdom at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah last year.
The Formula E Diriyah E-Prix will also mark the opening of Jahez Village, featuring cultural festivities, food, and retail experiences for everyone to enjoy.
Strict health and safety protocols will be observed, and those interested in enjoying the events live are encouraged to purchase tickets early as attendance will be limited.
General admission tickets start from SAR150 and provide access to the Allianz E-Village, while the Grandstand tickets grant access to the Allianz E-Village and the after-race concerts.
