The world’s most recognised restaurant, known for its innovative new-style cuisine, needs no introduction. Located on Jeddah Corniche at the heart of Al Nawras Resort, Nobu does not only bring the unique concept of the fusion of Japanese and South American cuisines to the beachfront. It also offers an elevated casual dining experience with stunning sea views. Diners can look forward to signature dishes, such as the black cod miso, yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño, salmon new style sashimi and rock shrimp tempura.

Nobu, Ash Shati, North Corniche Road (next to Al Nawras Square), Jeddah 21424, daily 7pm to midnight. Tel: 050 880 2206 / 012 272 4646. @nobujeddah

Novikov

A popular international chain, Novikov is already becoming one of Jeddah’s most iconic restaurants. A stand-out feature is perhaps its glass-enclosed display of fresh produce. Sure, with its fun, sociable approach to dining, you’re guaranteed a good time, but how does the food fit into all this? It’s Pan-Asian cuisine served with panache. Try the Hamachi carpaccio, miso chicken, and the quail egg and truffle gunkan.

Novikov Restaurant Jeddah, Boulevard Mall, Ali Abou Al Ola, Ash Shati, Jeddah 23414, daily 6.30pm to 11.30pm. Tel: 9200 05969. @novikovjeddah

The rustic-chic Kaktos dishes up pan-Asian plates brimming with Mediterranean flavours. Try the likes of the lime-butter Napolean fish fillet served with stir-fried kale, yakitori chicken glazed with teriyaki and truffle, or the fantastical sounding Bohemian ceviche (raw Nagel fish with mango, avocado and spicy coconut milk).

Kaktos by Boho Beach, Boho the Beach, 7754 Abhar, Az Zomorod District, Jeddah 23822, daily 10am to 6pm (brunch & beach), 1pm to 6pm (lunch) & 8pm to midnight (dinner). Tel: 055 663 5001 / 050 469 3541. @kaktos.byboho

Koa is more Asian fusion than pan-Asian, blending Asian odyssey cooking styles with modern European cuisine. Simplicity is key here, and the flavours and textures are brought to the fore via fresh, authentic ingredients. Koa ain’t no ordinary restaurant, though. It’s top-notch fine dining.

Disclaimer: At present, unfortunately, Koa is open exclusively for events, private dining, and gatherings of twenty persons and above. Stay tuned for announcements once the restaurant is open to the public.

Koa, Atelier La Vie, King Abdul Aziz Rd, No. 28, Jeddah. Tel: 012 662 9999. @dineatkoa
