The elegant restaurant promises an all-catering menu and a pet-friendly terrace…

The culinary competition in King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) is seriously heating up. Hot on the heels of Black Tap opening its doors in the sleek financial district this May, chic London eatery A.O.K Kitchen has now opened its first international location in Riyadh.

AOK

Founded by restaurateur Kelly Landesberg in 2019, A.O.K is a well-established upscale restaurant in the heart of London’s pretty Marylebone, famed for its menu that doesn’t just cope with dietary requirements, but wholeheartedly caters to them. A.O.K, which stands for “all okay”, will embrace the same philosophy, with a menu of all-encompassing eats for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a welcoming policy that will see four-legged friends welcome to dine with their owners on the restaurant terrace.

Collaboratively designed by Saudi designer H.H. Princess Anoud Khaled Al Saud, Founder of A Interiors, with the vision of Kelly Landesberg, A.O.K’s Riyadh location creates a sense of “feel good fun”, mixed with sophistication and elegance. Similar to the Marylebone’s interior, once you step inside, you will immediately notice the space’s main feature: a collection of trees that spread overhead, inspired by the magical, enchanted garden vision.

The rest of the space has been filled with comfortable, classic furnishings, including hand-painted silk wallpaper, dark wood tables and leather dining chairs, complimented by earthy hues.

Among the highlights, you’ll want to make a date with A.O.K’s breakfasts of freshly prepared fluffy pancakes, served with fresh berries, organic maple syrup and coconut chantilly, or tuck into the delicious homemade gluten free gnocchi served later in the day.

Located within the dynamic KAFD neighbourhood, A.O.K Riyadh radiates a feel-good atmosphere for its diners, combining enchanting interiors, with meticulously prepared dishes and immaculate service.

One of the most ambitious and distinguished projects in the city, KAFD is an important landmark in Riyadh. The development is the business and entertainment hub of the city. It includes offices, hotels, residential units, shops, and cultural facilities, all centred around a wadi, a landscaped pedestrian route that weaves through and unifies the entire district.

Last November, upscale Italian restaurant Il Baretto became the first restaurant to open in KAFD. But there’s still lots more to come. After the openings of Black Tap and A.O.K Kitchen, new restaurants set to transform KAFD into a top foodie destination include international openings Sushisamba, Zuma, Amazonico, Mr Chow and Pahli Hill.
