Cult burger brand Black Tap is now open in Riyadh
Larger-than-life milkshakes and tasty burgers are now in the capital…
It’s already become a household name in the region with branches across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain, and now popular burger brand Black Tap has opened its doors Saudi Arabia. Providing a fresh take on the classic burger joint, Black Tap welcomes diners to an Instagrammable new restaurant in Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD).
If you’re not familiar with the New York-born burger chain, it’s over-the-top, candy-festooned milkshakes and action-packed array of tasty burgers have seen it become one of the most ‘Grammable burger bars out there. Couple that with the retro American diner feel and pumping playlist, and you’ve got yourself an award-winning burger joint.

The new Riyadh outpost of Black Tap comes complete with neon signs, graffiti art, grey brick, and graphic black and white floor, making it the perfect spot for your next Insta-snap. On the menu, the selection ranges from the classic American cheeseburgers like The Texan, a beef patty with cheddar cheese, crisp onion ring, and mayo; to more inventive options such as one inspired by a Philly cheesesteak and another featuring arugula, buttermilk dill and blue cheese.
There’s also an array of calorific crazyshakes topped with everything from popcorn and cotton candy to slices of cheesecake, served from a dedicated Crazyshake station where customers can see how those mega shakes are created.
One of the most ambitious and distinguished projects in the city, KAFD is an important landmark in Riyadh. The development is the business and entertainment hub of the city. It includes offices, hotels, residential units, shops, and cultural facilities, all centred around a wadi, a landscaped pedestrian route that weaves through and unifies the entire district.
Last November, upscale Italian restaurant Il Baretto became the first restaurant to open in KAFD. But there’s still lots more to come. After the opening of Black Tap, new restaurants set to transform KAFD into a top foodie destination include international openings Sushisamba, Chotto Matte and La Serre.
