If you need your local shopping fix, today’s the last day of the Cactus District pop-up event at the Jareed Hotel. For the uninitiated, Cactus District – founded by Bahraini entrepreneur Zainab Al Ebrahim –is a unique three-day seasonal pop-up event that brings together a hand-picked selection of high-end regional and international fashion, and jewellery, home and beauty brands to cater to a fashion-forward lifestyle. A few brands and designers participating in this Riyadh edition of Cactus District are the minimal ready-to-wear pieces by Saudi designer Alanoud AlSalem, as well as UAE’s Aeon Jewellery and Riyadh’s The Annex Online for everyday-wear jewellery.

3. Enjoy midweek deals at Al Watan Park

Families descend on the Al Watan Park for the dozens of accessible rides for children. The theme park features old-time classics like the miniature Ferris wheel and some adventurous rides where kids pilot their own flying planes. Better yet, you can enter for free from Sunday to Wednesday if you purchase a game ticket (SAR10) or the game’s wristband (SAR40).
