Just in time for outdoor season, an epic new open-air lounge has opened its doors in Jeddah called Kaia. Overlooking Jeddah’s Waterfront, Kaia (which translates to ‘the sea’ in Hawaiian) is the perfect place to watch the sunset over the Red Sea with great company, a lively ambiance, and delicious bites.
The dreamy terrace-lounge opened for the first time on Thursday, October 6 and promises guests an unforgettable experience five nights a week: Tuesday to Saturday, 6pm to 2am. Taking a music-first approach, the lounge will provide guests with live entertainment every night including uplifting electronica beats from the resident DJ.
Hailing from Lima, Chef Bruno Santa Cruz is bringing his international influences from Peru to Istanbul, Goa to Muscat. The food menu consists of laid-back street food and nibbles with flavours inspired by the Pacific Rim. Think lobster and prawn wontons, poke bowls, shrimp and avocado ceviche, coconut shrimp, and duck bao buns. Plus plenty of vegetarian options like pineapple and zoodles poke and vegan nashi pear salad.
But you cannot miss Kaia’s carefully-crafted mocktail menu. Featuring tropical drinks from around the world with a Saudi twist, concoctions to look forward to include the Hawaiian Breeze made with rose water and pineapple and the Rosemary and Watermelon Fizz with homemade rosemary syrup and fresh watermelon juice.
