A beautiful Renaissance Hotel is opening in KAFD

Riyadh’s first Renaissance Hotel will debut in 2025…

Riyadh is getting another serving of luxury hospitality, this time in the form of a Renaissance Hotel. Part of the Marriott Hotels portfolio, the Renaissance Riyadh Hotel is set to welcome guests to a stunning new address in King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) in 2025.

First announced by Marriott in 2021, hoarding has now gone up for the property where construction has begun. You’ll find it on the edge of the city’s financial hub.

When it does open, guests can expect to check-in to one of 266 elegantly designed rooms and suites. As the Renaissance brand is all about connecting travellers to the local neighbourhood, you can expect design touches reflective of Saudi heritage – all with a Renaissance spin – throughout.

Elsewhere, gourmands will be able to treat their tastebuds at a trio of restaurants, and enjoy some down time at a spa, pool and fitness centre. Another key element of Renaissance Hotels is its regionally influenced rituals, so we can’t wait to see these brought to life at KAFD.

And on-hand to ensure guests make the most of their stay both on- and off-property, Navigators, the brand’s neighbourhood ambassadors, will be able to help guests curate the ultimate Riyadh itinerary.

Renaissance Riyadh Hotel will open as a partnership between Marriott International and Al Saedan real estate group. It’s one of three hotels in a multi-property partnership between the two, which will also see the arrival of  the world’s largest Aloft Hotel and a Courtyard by Marriott in Makkah. All three hotels target a 2025 opening.

Heating up Riyadh’s hotel scene

Alongside Renaissance, Riyadh is set to see the arrival of some seriously luxe hotels in the upcoming years. Before the end of the year, Marriott will debut its St Regis Hotels & Resorts brand in Via Riyadh. Then in 2025, expect to check-in to the futuristic-looking Mondrian Riyadh (pictured above), and enjoy the upscale delights of Conrad Laysen Valley.
