The return of Riyadh Season always brings about major excitement to the city, and more so when there are so many exciting new experiences coming our way. From brand-new Riyadh Season 2023 zones to revamped old favourites, this year’s edition of the massive citywide festival is set to be one for the ages.
Starting on Saturday October 28, Riyadh Season will open with a massive ceremony and is set to feature globally renowned artists. Here are some of the zones we’re very excited for here at What’s On.
Boulevard Riyadh City
Everyone’s favourite zone, Boulevard Riyadh City will be completely revamped and introduce a whopping sixty per cent all-new experiences including a Barbie world, a Disney Castle hosting shows inspired by popular Disney movies for its 100-year-anniversary, and a House of Hype VR experience.
The new season will also see the opening of Cats n’Cups by Mocha Japan bringing cats from all over the world for you to enjoy, an educational Blippi Wonders experience, a Zero Latency 3D experience, and a thrilling Five Nights at Freddy’s experience too.
Football fanatics, this one’s for you, there will also be a Legend Museum. It will be the world’s largest and first-ever museum dedicated to football and will be home to nearly 30,000 rare artefacts and various interactive experiences. In collaboration with Mike Tyson, the region’s very first striking gym will also open its doors.
There will also be a new CR7 museum designed around his life story. Featuring all of the star footballer’s trophies, personal memorabilia, and cool interactive experiences. And that’s not all footie fans, the city will also be hosting the Global 433 Football Awards for the first time too.
WWE is set to have its very own experience centre for fans to enjoy and live the entertainment.
Boulevard World
Boulevard World is also back this season. The second development of the project has just been completed. The area has been expanded by nearly 40 per cent and features four new areas covering an area of one million square metres.
Including the largest popular shopping area with over 1,180 shops, 120 restaurants, various artistic shows, different entertainment experiences, and arcade games.
Built in just 82 days, Boulevard World is considered Riyadh Season’s largest and most ambitious project to date. It’s perfect for experiencing a world of culture without ever leaving the capital.
Wonder Garden Riyadh Season
This year’s Riyadh Season is set to introduce a brand new zone called Wonder Garden. It is the largest mobile amusement park built over an area of half a million square metres.
Tailored to family members of all ages, the Wonder Garden brings a unique experience to the world of entertainment.
Located in the Northern part of Riyadh for easy access for visitors, the new zone is set to be a must-visit this season.
AlMurraba
This annual pop-up of luxurious restaurants from around the world is set to be transformed into a permanent area this year. It’s set to include a new group of the most luxurious restaurants in the world.
Construction is also set to begin on the famous Fouquet Hotel and Café in this area. Restaurants include La Californie, L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon, and Le Grand Venise.
The Groves
Returning for the third time, The Groves 2023 is set to house some pretty innovative and exhilarating experiences including ‘Little Crazy’ which is inspired by fairytales and Hawanim Groves City which will be a unique oriental Arab experience, plus so much more.

The it-spot in Riyadh is now welcoming a gorgeous new St Regis Riyadh property as part of the new season along with all the new restaurants you’ve already grown to love.
Free zones
Three free zones will also be a part of this year’s Riyadh Season, these include returning favourites Riyadh Zoo and Suwaidi Park, plus the new Souq AlAwaleen.
