Get ready to embark on a Saudi staycation of next-level luxury: The St Regis Red Sea Resort is now open for bookings. Accepting reservations from December 2023 onwards, rates start from SAR5,000 per room per night.
The dreamy and exclusive island escape is one of two luxurious Marriott Resorts that unrolls along the sugary sands of Ummahat Island, nestled among a protected conservation area on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coastline. Accessible via boat or seaplane, the 90-key resort, of all beachfront and overwater villas, invites guests to enjoy blissful getaways where white sandy beaches, tropical gardens and a thriving underwater world await.
Guests checking-in to one of the oceanic-inspired villas can book either a one-, two-, three-, or four-bedroom abode, all of which come with a stretching sundeck complete with private pool. Perfectly positioned to make the most of the sorbet-hued sunsets, the natural beauty of the Red Sea will be effortlessly highlighted from every angle of each villa. Luxurious interiors add to the allure, complete with plush soft furnishings and refined artworks and design pieces inspired by the wind, water and coral elements.
On the culinary front guests can dine at five restaurants, including all-day dining with a Levantine twist at Nesma, enjoy refined Japanese flavours at Gishiki 45, and tuck into fine cuts cooked to order at sleek steakhouse Tilina.
Elsewhere, The St Regis Red Sea Resort’s leisure offering will invite guests to relax at two outdoor pools beautifully landscaped around verdant gardens, work up a sweat at the fitness centre, and get pampered at the signature spa. For little ones, a children’s club promises endless hours of fun.
Of course, guests can also look forward to signature avant-garde St Regis style, and the renowned butler service that ensures every stay is memorable and unique.
Launching in 2023
Alongside The St Regis Red Sea Resort, Marriott will open an ultra-luxury Ritz-Carlton Reserve, called Nujuma, on Ummahat Island. This resort is also slated to open before the end of 2023.
Before these resorts, the debut Six Senses property will be a breathtaking desert escape on an inland site at The Red Sea, Six Senses Southern Dunes. Currently accepting reservations from November 2023, it comes complete with 36 guest rooms and suites and a further 40 pool villas.
