Your ultimate guide to Azimuth 2023

The major music festival is happening next week…

If you haven’t heard about one of the country’s biggest music festivals returning to the gorgeous desert city of AlUla, listen up. Azimuth is coming back and taking over the Saudi National Day weekend. There will be tonnes of international and local artists taking the stage, so if you’re not in the loop, here’s your ultimate guide to Azimuth 2023.

How to get there

The festival is happening from Thursday September 21 to Friday September 22. There are Saudia Airlines, flydubai, and flynas direct flights in and out of AlUla International Airport (ULH) from regional and international destinations. 

Where to stay

Recommended luxury destinations to check into include Habitas AlUlaBanyan Tree AlUlaAshar Tented ResortShaden Resort, and Sahary AlUla Resort. Other options are also available, you can self-book your own farm, villa, or apartment accommodation in AlUla via Airbnb, Booking.com, and Gathern.

Tickets

Tickets for the massive event have already gone on sale, and you can actually still snag one of the remaining Early Bird tickets right now and get discounts of up to 30 per cent. Prices start at SAR665 for one-day general admission tickets and premium tickets are still available from the early bird sale too at SAR1,400, and the full premium experience is priced at SAR2,450.

Lineup

Like we said, the lineup for the massive festival has already been revealed and features top-tier international and local artists. International stars include legendary UK indie band The Kooks, popular South Korean DJ Peggy Gou, Australian singer and record producer RY X, Egyptian rock band Cairokee, and electronic music duo Thievery Corporation on day one.

Local performers include Saudi DJ and producer BluePaper, Arabs Got Talent star Daneel, female singer-songwriter Cosmicat, Saudi DJ JEME, and regional stars Dorar, Nomad, Amro, and Sokkary on day one too.

Day two will feature the likes of English singer and songwriter Jorja Smith, indie sensation Dope Lemon, Australian singer Chet Faker, northern Mali’s Tinariwen, and the massively popular Saint Levant, Shkoon Live, and Ame & Dixon will also be performing.

Regional stars Vinyl Mode, Husa & Zeyada, Dish Dash, Majid, Kayan, Zone+, Baloo, Anmarz, and Narkbeat will also be taking the stage.

Other things to expect

No event is ever complete without food, so you can look forward to popular food vendors like Gun Bun, SALT, Out of Line, Just Chill, Creamery, Baroque and Maui being part of the event. You can get mementoes to remember the festival at stores like perfume brand SURGE’s collection of LED wrist bands, Creative Collective’s festival attire, and modern fashion brand Quromoz’s adorable t-shirts, in addition to AZIMUTH’s very own merchandise booth.
