Crowd-favourite Nomad from Bahrain opens its first outlet in Riyadh
We take a look at Nomad’s latest concept, NUE by Nomad, located in Olaya…
If you’ve been to Bahrain, chances are you’ve heard of Nomad Urban Eatery, the go-to for the quintessential breakfast spot.
Now enter Nomad’s latest concept, NUE by Nomad, which has just opened in Riyadh at an accessible location of Olaya. It is the first outlet to open outside of Bahrain. Just a stone’s throw away from Olaya Towers office buildings, and with Centria Mall visible from its front door, this place is in a desirable location.
Of course, we simply have to check it out for ourselves.
As you enter NUE by Nomad, the vibe feels chic – although not stuffily so. The dining area is spread over two floors and is flooded with natural light, thanks in large to the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Much like the main branch in Bahrain, the restaurant’s theme continues throughout the space, with its interior showcasing a palette of copper hues accompanied by lush greenery, embodying a blend of warmth and contemporary finesse.
On the ground level, there is a bar area with a dessert display, and you can choose to sit indoors, all in plain view with its open-concept kitchen, or outdoors. For prime people-watching, snag the booth seating at the back of the restaurant.
The bookshelf stairway adds a distinctive character to the main dining room and makes for a perfect Instagram snap. Overall, it’s a place where modern design meets comfortable dining, creating a buzz that echoes with conversations and clinks of cutlery. Plus, the laid-back, friendly atmosphere makes this the perfect spot to while away the hours.
You can have breakfast, brunch or dinner at the all-day dining at NUE by Nomad, choosing from burrata on toast, quinoa falafel salad, and bao buns to pizza, burgers, pasta and steaks.
Recommended favourites include Nomad’s Rigatoni pasta topped with creamy burrata, smoked beef short ribs bao, black Wagyu beef burger, and truffle pizza.
For those seeking something sweeter, the menu offers an array of pastries and desserts ranging from the mix berries danish to honey cake – and that’s not to forget the irresistibly indulgent flourless chocolate mousse cake.
So, what are you waiting for? Make a beeline for NUE by Nomad and try out one of Riyadh’s most exciting new restaurants. But remember, it’s still in its soft opening phase, and there are no bookings – so be ready to walk in and queue.
