10 new Rotana hotels are coming to Saudi Arabia
From Riyadh and Jeddah to Al Baha and Hail, Rotana’s growing pipeline highlights some of Saudi Arabia’s most exciting destinations
The hardest part of travelling around Saudi Arabia these days? Choosing where to stay.
But the good news is that Rotana has announced plans to expand its presence in the Kingdom to 23 hotels by 2027, with 10 new properties currently in the pipeline.
While Riyadh and Jeddah continue to see new openings, the expansion also puts the spotlight on destinations such as Al Baha and Hail, giving travellers even more reasons to explore different corners of the country.
The announcement was made at the Future Hospitality Summit in Riyadh, where Rotana also signed a strategic agreement with the Saudi Tourism Authority.
More hotels are coming to Riyadh
The capital is set to welcome several new Edge by Rotana properties in various neighbourhoods.

Edge Riyadh Al Rabie
The expansion follows the recent opening of Edge Riyadh Al Rabie and is part of a wider partnership that will see several more properties added to the city in the coming years.
For business travellers, weekend staycationers, and visitors arriving in Riyadh for major events, this means even more accommodation options throughout the capital.
Al Balad gets a new hotel
One of the more interesting additions is set to open in Jeddah’s historic Al Balad district.
As the UNESCO-listed area continues to draw visitors to its restored heritage buildings, galleries, cafés and cultural attractions, a new hotel in the heart of the district could make it even easier to spend a few days exploring one of Saudi Arabia’s most fascinating neighbourhoods.
Al Baha joins the pipeline
Rotana is also heading to Al Baha for the first time.
Known for its cooler temperatures, mountain scenery and forested landscapes, the destination has become increasingly popular with domestic travellers looking for an escape from the summer heat.
Two Rotana brands, Arjaan Hotel Apartments by Rotana and Rayhaan Hotels & Resorts by Rotana, are expected to make their debut there.
Hail gets its first Centro by Rotana
Another notable addition is Centro Hail, which will be the first Centro by Rotana property in the city.

Centro Salama, Jeddah
Located in northern Saudi Arabia, Hail is renowned for its desert landscapes, outdoor adventures and rich heritage. The hotel will showcase the brand’s signature modern design, social spaces and flexible co-working areas.
Why it matters
The latest expansion reflects a broader shift in Saudi tourism.
While Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah remain major visitor hubs, more travellers are exploring destinations such as Al Baha, Hail and other emerging regions as domestic tourism continues to grow.
Whether it’s a heritage break in Al Balad, a mountain retreat in Al Baha or a city staycation in Riyadh, local travellers have more options than ever before. It’s a trend we’re seeing reflected in this year’s What’s On Saudi Arabia Awards 2026, where Favourite Staycation joins the line-up as a brand-new category celebrating the hotels and resorts that keep us coming back for another check-in.
For travellers, it means more places to stay. For Saudi Arabia, it is another sign of how rapidly the Kingdom’s tourism landscape is evolving.
