Check out the AlUla Citrus Festival this weekend

The free festival is coming back…

Winter at Tantora, AlUla’s flagship culture, art and music festival, is back this season, and it’s safe to say that the jam-packed calendar of events surely has something for everyone. This weekend, the historic city will be welcoming the AlUla Citrus Festival.

Happening on Friday January 5 and Saturday January 6, and then again on Friday January 12 and Saturday January 13, the festival promises to bring by a ton of zingy fun.

The festival will feature everything from cooking shows with renowned chefs to lots of family-friendly activities. Browse market stalls for fruity products like a variety of soaps and crafts, and, of course, sample freshly squeezed juice from the ripest oranges AlUla has to offer.

The festival is one of the most colourful events on the calendar and is a vibrant celebration of the enormous variety of fruit that is grown in the AlUla Oasis. It is held every January for just four days, so don’t forget to check it out this time around.

Local farmers proudly display their crops that are grown on more than 200,000 citrus trees at AlUla as you wander through this open-air market in the Oasis. They even engage in friendly competitions that reward the best quality fruit, while talented chefs demonstrate live ‘tree to table’ cooking shows to highlight the versatility and flavours of the citrus fruits grown at AlUla.
