After its brief pop-up in Jeddah, this famed restaurant has opened a permanent address in Riyadh’s Laysen Valley. Food wise, you can expect French classics enlivened with innovative flavour combinations and a lighter approach to dining. Bagatelle’s famous plates include truffle roasted chicken, baby potatoes and jus, and homemade gnocchi with truffle sauce and parmesan. And as we know, the Bagatelle experience has always been more than just great food. Setting up shop in one of the capital’s top hotels, Mansard Riyadh, A Radisson Collection Hotel, celeb-loved Carbone landed in Riyadh last year, and is a treat for the eyes and the belly. The venue’s luxe interiors include accents of gorgeous royal blue, maroon, and striking gold to set the whole venue apart. The dim lighting makes the space perfect for an intimate dinner for two. Crowd-favourite menu items include seafood salad, linguini vongole, lobster fra diavola, chicken scarpariello and veal parmesan elevated to a new level. A must-try is the world-famous Spicy Rigatoni (SAR190) and it’s safe to say it did not disappoint. Perfectly al dente pasta, topped with a rich, creamy, and slightly spicy sauce, it’s definitely a must-try on the menu.

An LA-born concept by the incredibly talented Chef Nancy Silverton, chi SPACCA is Italian for “she (or he) who cleaves.” chi SPACCA Riyadh brings together a Californian flair with Tuscan flavours and aims to bring a quintessential new Italian dining experience to the heart of Riyadh. The venue aims to be an “ode to meat, beautiful meat,” and amazingly seasoned fish dishes too served with the freshest of veggies, and beautiful salads too. So, it’s safe to say there’s a little something for everyone in the space. The intimate dining room has a gorgeous exposed brick wall, a chill atmosphere, an open kitchen where you can watch your meat being grilled right in front, and a dry-ager too. Sit down to dinner and you’ll be greeted with different kinds of hand painted plates for each course.

The Michelin-starred Indian fine dining restaurant travels outside of London for the first time For Gymkhana Riyadh. Guests at Gymkhana Saudi can expect the same level of flavour and experience as those in Mayfair. The carefully curated menu brings to life flavours from across India, offering a modern interpretation of renowned classics. Mr Chow
One of KAFD’s most hotly anticipated new openings of 2023 was Mr Chow, now welcoming diners to enjoy its globally renowned fare. The very first Mr Chow opened its doors in London on Valentine’s Day 1968 with top chefs at the helm of the venue serving up authentic Beijing cuisine and creative original recipes such as Chicken Satay and Ma Mignon. The brand then expanded to the USA with the Beverly Hills location in 1974, then New York where the first location opened in 1979 on 57th Street, and the second location in New York TriBeCa in 2006. Here, dishes are served in family style to ensure all guests get a taste of everything. On the menu, you will also find one of the best-prepared Beijing ducks in the world – so be sure to order that.

Complete with tonnes of exciting focal points throughout the venue, this is one must-try venue. Enter through a cave stalactite-type entryway made with over 26,000 pulsating light rods to guide you in and then feast your eyes on the immersive 3D image-mapping rock wall. Then, make your way to the infinity bar or one of the many tables in the sprawling restaurant and order up whatever sounds good (it’s more than likely that it is).

Raoul’s
Somewhere between casual and upscale, New York City’s famed French bistro Raoul’s is another restaurant you can now book at Via Riyadh. The restaurant’s carefully curated menu cements Raoul’s authenticity, featuring dishes like Steak au Poivre with Frites and Raoul’s dressing; and Organic Classic-Style Whole Roast Chicken to the Tarte Tartin. The design of Raoul’s Riyadh will pay homage to the extraordinary and bygone era that first gave rise to Raoul’s in Soho. With a dark colour palette, intimate spaces and red velvet accents, the aesthetic of Raoul’s is that of a classical French bistro.

Suhail has a talent for changing the way people perceive and experience Saudi cuisine, marrying tradition with modernity – both in the kitchen and with its suave interiors. Serving up sharing plates, the flavours here certainly aren’t shy. Beautifully spiced dishes on offer are made even more tempting by perfect presentation, which is all part of the well-heeled package. Don’t miss the lamb mugalgal and plenty of the saj bread to mop up the leftovers. Portions are petite, but the prices are fully justified. Overall, Suhail promises sensory joys, prettily presented.

With a sprawling open-plan kitchen, diners enjoy the spectacle of skilled chefs combining traditional techniques with unexpected ingredients to create inventive signatures. As its name suggests, the menu is centred around robatayaki – dishes cooked over fire. You’ll find all the contemporary Japanese staples here, with a unique spin, of course. These include a six-hour braised short rib finished on the grill with a maple glaze, spicy tuna wonton taco and the truffle hamachi crispy rice with tobiko roe and ponzu.
