Restaurant Review: Saddle House Riyadh
All the from the UAE…
There’s never a shortage of incredible restaurants in Riyadh, we already know this, but when a famed venue like Saddle House opens its doors in the capital, you already know we have to check it out. Here’s how our experience at Saddle House Riyadh went.
Setting up shop in one of the poshest complexes, 1364AH in the Diplomatic Quarter in Al Safarat, Saddle House has several points that set it apart from the flock of restaurants in town.
Across the restaurant, you’ll find subtle nods to its equestrian inspiration. From the signature ceiling-mounted steel art installation titled ‘Speed’ by artist Mattar Bin Lahej, blending luxury equestrian lifestyle aesthetics with cultural artistry, to the massive horse-themed artwork painted in the traditional Saudi green, the venue can seat up to 130 people.
The food…

Now on to the main event, the food. The menu features a range of comfort classics slightly elevated to match the upscale venue. We started with the blueberry salad (SAR49) which might just be one of our favourite salads in town and the saddle petit puffs (SAR69) which was a unique dish made with Picante sauce, chicken, mushrooms and puff pastry bites.

For our mains, we tucked into a comforting and warm spaghetti bolognese (SAR84) and saddle cheeseburger (SAR79).
And you can never go wrong with a burger and a milkshake, so we ordered up an iced cappuccino shake (SAR29), and for us, this is a must-order now.
The dessert menu features seven options, although we’d recommend going for the tiramisu (SAR49) which has to be our favourite and the créme brule (SAR49).
What’s On verdict: All in all, we definitely think Saddle House Riyadh is worth making the trip.
