Here's everything you need to know about the Battle of the Giants

The biggest mixed martial arts event hits Riyadh next month…

There’s less than a month to go until the PFL Battle of the Giants championship. The biggest mixed martial arts event will land in the capital city on Saturday October 19, and ahead of the fight night, we’ve rounded up everything you need to know.

When and where is Battle of the Giants?

Battle of the Giants will take over the state-of-the-art Mayadeen Venue in Riyadh’s Diriyah on Saturday October 19.

How much are tickets?

Tickets start at SAR300 and are available via the WeBook website and mobile app. Ringside tickets, known as the KO Kingdom section, are also available, with prices ranging between SAR1,500 and SAR2,000. These give you access to the PFL Lounge, which serves complimentary food and drinks, a fan zone priority lane, a VIP parking spot, and a merchandise voucher.

Other available seats are categorised according to Knockout Corner (SAR300), The Tapout Tower (SAR350), Strength and Honour (SAR400), Uppercut Utopia (SAR400), and The Warrior’s Watch (SAR500). All the tickets provide access to the fan zone.

MMA superstar and former heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou makes his highly anticipated return to the sport. The main event will see “The Predator” face the most-feared PFL Heavyweight Champion, Renan “Problema” Ferreira, for the newly minted PFL Super Fights Championship Belt.

The co-main event will feature another major world title fight: the women’s featherweight PFL Super Fight Championship. The greatest women’s MMA fighter of all time, Cris “Cyborg” puts her legacy on the line when she squares off against PFL two-division champion Larissa Pacheco, who looks to prove she is the greatest women’s MMA fighter on the planet.

A third title fight of the night, the Bellator middleweight world championship, will be between undefeated Bellator middleweight world champion Johnny Eblen and Fabian Edwards.

Switzerland’s Husein Kadimagomaev, a training partner of feared fighter Khamzat Chimaev, will face Germany’s Zafar Mohsen in a fiercely competitive featherweight match-up.

At lightweight, former Bellator featherweight world champion AJ McKee will serve as the toughest test of Paul Hughes’ young career when the man with the longest winning streak in Bellator history faces an Irishman who many consider to be the top lightweight prospect on the planet.

The full early card has also been released, with an exciting match between Saudi Arabia’s Mostafa Nada and Egypt’s Ahmed Sami in a middleweight bout.

There are two early card featherweight bouts between the UAE’s Youssef Al Housani and the undefeated Morocco-born Taha “Atlas Lion” Bendaoud, who fights out of Las Vegas, and Ibragim Ibragimov against Nacho Campos.

Makkasharip Zaynukov will face Dedrek Sanders in a lightweight early card bout, while a bantamweight match-up between Raufeon “Supa” Stots and Marcos Breno tops the bill.
