Wizz Air launches brand-new route from London Gatwick to Jeddah

Flights for a fraction of the price? Count us in. Wizz Air, Europe’s fastest-growing and most environmentally sustainable airline, is now launching a new route from Saudi Arabia. Tickets are now available for Wizz Air London Gatwick to Jeddah.

Set to launch Sunday March 31 2025, Wizz Air is dedicated to providing travellers with more options and affordable fares, and you can already book tickets on wizzair.com and the Wizz Air app.

The route will operate daily, all year round, and you can book your spot at just SAR663 (GBP134.99). The flight will last nearly seven hours and will be the first of many routes to operate with the new Airbus A321XLR which is the most cost-effective in its class, offering you the option to travel back and forth in a way that doesn’t break the bank.

Over the past three years, Wizz Air has steadily ramped up its capacity in Saudi Arabia, by constantly introducing numerous new routes and enhancing travel options.

Fliers, take note. Virgin Atlantic has announced its newest long-haul destination. As of Sunday March 30, 2025, the UK airline will be launching its Virgin flights (literally) between King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and London Heathrow. The nonstop service from Riyadh to London Heathrow will take six hours and 50 minutes, and it will be served by the state-of-the-art A330neo, Virgin Atlantic’s newest aircraft and one of the most fuel-efficient in its fleet.

If you travel between the UAE and Saudi Arabia, then take note: flynas is set to launch eight new routes between the two countries. From September 1, the new flynas routes will connect Saudi Arabia with Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah over a string of new flight routes. Expanding its network in the UAE market with four main UAE airports with flights from four Saudi cities, the carrier currently operates flights from Dubai International Airport to Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Madinah.
