Bookings are now open for the Red Sea’s breathtaking Desert Rock Resort
Ready to explore this magnificent landscape?
A new hotspot is pinging on the radar. If you’re looking for a holiday that promises some of the world’s most spectacular natural features, you can’t do better than a trip to the rugged mountains of the Red Sea.
The untouched desert landscape, where the mountains meet the sands, has been revitalised in an unexpected way: through the creation of Desert Rock Resort, the fifth property to open its doors at the Red Sea destination.
The Red Sea Global’s third self-operated property, built within the craggy rocks and designed to blend modern architecture into the natural landscape, will welcome its first guests on Sunday December 15.
Rooms are now available for booking, with villa rates starting from SAR8,500 per night.
Desert Rock features 54 luxury villas and 10 suites within the mountain that offer unrivalled spectacular views out to the horizon, allowing guests to absorb the dramatic desert landscape below.
Guests can choose from the desert-inspired one- and two-bedroom Wadi Villas or the Cliff Hanging Villas perched high above the resort to the one-bedroom Mountain Cave Suites with cliffside plunge pools or the three-bedroom Royal Villa.
Among them, the most wow-worthy rooms are the Mountain Crevice Villas. Defying gravity, these villas hang on the edge of the massif by rock pinnacles, with panoramic views and private pools offering a unique perspective of the desert landscape.
The rooms are hardly the only perks, though.
The stunning spa and wellness centre, located at the foot of the mountain, complements the resort’s breathtaking surroundings. Offering five treatment rooms, a private hammam, water therapy facilities, an outdoor treatment space, a yoga pavilion, and aerial yoga sessions, this sanctuary of serenity is designed to soothe, revitalise, relax, and reconnect with nature.
To dine, Desert Rock is home to five unique culinary adventures. Much of the foodie action is housed around Nyra, which offers wood-fire cooking and a celebration of local ingredients. Basalt is where you head for healthy breakfasts and modern Indian cuisine, accompanied by live entertainment, including music, dance, and fire shows.
There’s also the Wadi, a chic pool bar and grill with Peruvian flair, perfect for poolside lounging and casual dining with live DJ sets.
For craft mocktails, Mica offers an intimate setting, with both indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the desert. You can enjoy them along with small plates or make your way to The Observatory, a late-night lounge offering starry views and gourmet pastries.
Located just 20 minutes from Red Sea International Airport, this unique property, powered entirely by sunlight, is a convenient yet remote escape for those seeking adventure, tranquillity, or a combination of both.
Moreover, to celebrate its grand opening, the resort is offering an exciting introductory offer. For a limited time only, a third night will be offered complimentary with all bookings of two consecutive nights.
