Salt Camp is back: Gather with family and friends under the stars at Ithra
The Instagrammable pop-up has ditched its vibrant orange and pink hues for a brand-new look this year…
The beloved Salt Camp is back in the Kingdom. This time around, the fifth edition of the pop-up has set up camp in the eastern province of Dhahran at the King Abdul Aziz Centre for World Culture (Ithra).
No one can forget Salt Camp’s distinctive debut on Saudi Arabia’s food scene, featuring an iconic pink and orange campsite at Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) that served oh-so-good burgers and milkshakes.
Known for its creative and super cool concepts, Salt has always been about bringing people together. And to celebrate the winter season, the brand has created yet another escape: a unique experience that reminds us of warm memories of camping.
Here’s what we know about the 5th edition of Salt Camp at Ithra.
The theme for this year is ‘Full of Stars’ and will take campers on an unforgettable journey beneath the Milky Way, through the stars, and beyond the galaxies.

Set against the lush garden of Ithra, the new concept is an exploration of the outdoors and celebrates the unique brilliance within each person while recognising everyone as a star in their own story.
The celestial-themed design is very Instagrammable, though. While the vibrant orange and pink hues that caught the attention of passers-by are now gone, this cool, deep blue Salt Camp is still a show-stealer.
The triangular entrance is prominently featured, centred on the theme of camping and symbolising the iconic shape of a tent.
Like its previous pop-up, Salt Camp has different zones where guests can engage in various experiences and activations. Packed with entertainment, family-friendly activities, and creative workshops, you can expect endless hours of fun here. Be sure to check out some exclusive camp merchandise, too.

Of course, there’s one thing that is sure to make every camping adventure better, and that’s good food. This year’s Salt Camp menu is a tribute to the magic of camping – the crackle of flames, the sizzling steaks, and hearty burgers under the stars. You can also look forward to tacos and sides such as kale salad, lightly fried corn ribs, butter-tossed potatoes, and triple-cheese mac.
Those with a sweet tooth can visit the Sugar Bar, where they can find everything from dark chocolate brownies and cookie melts served with vanilla gelato to cinnacookies (warm cinnamon rolls with white chocolate chip cookies) and warm dark chocolate soufflé. These treats are as delightful to look at as they are to indulge in.
As you feast, enjoy being serenaded by live performances. And while you can’t actually stay overnight at Salt Camp, there’s definitely plenty to do to satisfy the happy camper in you.
We’re so excited for what this edition brings. Happy camping.
