London’s Berenjak brings its vibrant Persian cuisine to Via Riyadh

A Persian restaurant by way of London, Berenjak has long been one of the city’s favourite stalwarts for piling up delightful kebabs onto plates since its opening in 2018. They’ve grown from strength to strength, opening additional locations in London, as well as in Dubai, Sharjah, and Doha.
Now, the team – in collaboration with the General Entertainment Authority, Riyadh Season, and Cool Inc. – is setting up shop in Saudi Arabia, with the arrival of Berenjak at Via Riyadh.
But hurry, as this unique experience will only be available in Riyadh for a limited time. The pop-up is set to debut this February and will run for just one month.
A celebration of Persian cuisine
If you are unfamiliar with Berenjak, its beloved menu highlights simple, authentic flavours inspired by Tehran’s vibrant kebab houses. Drawing on founder Kian Samyani’s family recipes, Berenjak fuses tradition with contemporary dining, promoting a family-style experience while providing a fresh and modern take on classic Persian flavours.
Expect the Riyadh pop-up to have a mezze focus, featuring a range of sharing dishes that diners at Berenjak have come to love, like charcoal-grilled kebabs, khoresht (stews), rice, and salads. The dishes are prepared using traditional Persian techniques such as the tandoor, mangal barbecue, and vertical rotisserie, and they are all crafted from the finest seasonal ingredients.
A quick look at the SevenRooms booking link reveals that the earliest reservation available is on Tuesday February 11. It also seems like the pop-up at Via Riyadh will be open at 6pm from Sunday to Thursday and for lunch and dinner on Fridays and Saturdays.
In addition, a SAR100 deposit per person is required to secure the reservation, which must be paid within 24 hours of booking.
