These restaurants in Saudi Arabia have ranked among the Middle East's 50 Best for 2025

A total of five homegrown concepts make the list this year…

The 2025 edition of the Middle East and North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants awards was revealed at a glittering ceremony in Abu Dhabi last night (Tuesday January 28).

The list saw five restaurants from Saudi Arabia listed among the region’s finest restaurants.

49: Myazu, Riyadh

Japanese restaurant Myazu in Riyadh re-enters the list at number 49 after first being named 15th in 2022 and 18th in 2023. Its menu is a masterclass in marrying timeless traditional techniques with inventive culinary creativity to bring dishes full of texture, aroma and vibrant flavours to the table. Marinated yellowtail sashimi, popcorn shrimp with spicy sauce, and crispy sushi rice with salmon and tuna tartare are just a few of the must-experience options.

39: Aseeb, Riyadh

A new entry for 2025 at number 39, Aseeb is a homegrown gem run by husband-and-wife team Abu and Umm Saud. This family-style restaurant, coupled with stunning interiors, serves up authentic Saudi food to its guests in Al Yasmin. Diners can enjoy a cuisine that showcases Najdi culinary traditions, such as red jareesh – crushed wheat cooked with milk, chicken, tomatoes, and coriander, served with fried onions and musamana spices – and milk marasee – a traditional dish made from wheat flour mixed with onions, hot milk and butter.

Climbing nine places from 40th to number 31 in 2025, Riyadh’s premier brunch spot, Lunch Room, has quickly developed a loyal following since its opening in November 2022. The kitchen takes inspiration from a bevvy of global cuisines, with the two most noticeable influences being Indian street food culture and traditional Arabic favourites. Its moreish clay oven-baked 48-hour sourdough flatbread and its simple bread course with gaymer cream and honeycomb are the stars of the show at this cosy spot in Pure Centre.

Kuuru has become a true dining institution for Nikkei cuisine in Jeddah. Making the list for a second year running, its dishes pack a culinary punch. Its inventive plates and creative approach have captivated diners, positioning the Saudi homegrown brand as a resounding success story. The restaurant improved its position by 20 places, climbing from 50 last year to 30 in 2025.
