Civil Defence warns of light to moderate rainfall in Riyadh until Saturday
Hello rainy Riyadh…
According to the Saudi Civil Defence and the forecasts from the National Center of Meteorology, it’s going to be a rainy weekend here in Riyadh. Several parts of the city are expected to experience light to moderate rainfall in Riyadh.
Expected to begin today (Wednesday March 19) and go on until Saturday March 22, the rainfall will impact 13 areas across the Riyadh region.

Impacted areas include the capital, Diriyah, Dhurma, Al-Muzahmiyya, Ramah, Al-Kharj, Al-Dilam, Wadi Ad-Dawasir, As Sulayyali, All-Aflaj, Al-Hariq, and Hawtah Bani Tamim. The Civil Defence calls on everyone to take caution and adhere to its instructions. The warning was sent over via text.
According to the National Center for Meteorology, gusty winds will blow and moderate to heavy rain and hail may fall in parts of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions. Light to moderate rain may fall in Najran, Makkah, Madinah, Qassim, Hail, Northern Borders, and Eastern regions.
