All you need to know about Aquarabia when it opens this March

Make a splash this Eid at Aquarabia water park

What could be more fun than a day well spent at a water park? Qiddiya City is making a splash this Eid al-Fitr with the grand opening of Aquarabia in March, according to Abdullah Al-Dawood, Managing Director of Qiddiya Investment Company, in an interview on Fi Alsurah – “In the Picture”.

Following the epic debut of Six Flags last December, Aquarabia is the next must-visit attraction in Qiddiya City.

Here’s all you need to know about Aquarabia

Aquarabia is touted as the first water theme park of its kind in Saudi Arabia and the largest in the region, offering immersive, narrative-based design elements and attractions seldom seen in water parks.

Located right next to Six Flags, it features nine themed zones and 22 rides, including sweeping slides, a lazy river, pools and aquatic sports attractions.

The park will also include 22 dining outlets and seven retail stores.

Aquarabia Slithereel

The best part? Aquarabia will boast five world firsts: Junoon Drop, the world’s tallest water coaster; Speedy Jamezales, the world’s tallest drop body slide; Slithereel, the longest water slide; Jamal Joom, the longest mat racer; and Aquaticar, the first underwater adventure ride featuring fully submersible cars.

Those looking to unwind will enjoy an array of experiences at Aquarabia – from the park icon Camel Rock, the family-friendly Dhub Grotto, and the Wave Wadi beach bay with a giant wave pool to The Den private zone for ladies and children, and the Arabian Peak, an adults-only retreat that includes a private leisure pool with breathtaking views.

Meanwhile, adrenaline lovers will enjoy an extreme watersports zone, Herding Ground, dedicated to rafting, kayaking, canyoneering, free solo climbing, and cliff jumping; the Viper Canyon adventurous zone; and Saudi Arabia’s first surf pool, Surftopia.

From thrilling rides to family-friendly leisure zones, Aquarabia promises a one-of-a-kind aquatic adventure for every visitor.

Beyond Aquarabia, the long-term development plan for Qiddiya City is being implemented in three main phases.

The first phase, expected to be completed by 2028, will include Six Flags, Aquarabia, a speedway, the National Tennis Centre, golf courses, and up to 15 hotels and residential areas.

By 2030, the second phase will introduce additional landmarks, including a performing arts centre, Dragon Ball theme park, an esports arena, and additional hotel and residential developments.

The third phase will coincide with Saudi Arabia hosting the 2034 World Cup and the Asian Games.
