Riyadh Metro Eid Al-Fitr 2026 hours have been announced

With the start of Eid al-Fitr, the Riyadh Public Transport Authority announced the operating hours of the Riyadh Metro during the Eid Al-Fitr 2026 holidays, in addition to an updated operational plan for the public transport network from March 20 to 23. So, here are the Riyadh Metro Eid Al-Fitr 2026 hours. 

To ensure transportation during Eid Al-Fitr is as seamless as ever, the public transport network will undergo adjustments covering all days of the week, including Fridays, allowing citizens and residents to better utilise Riyadh’s train and bus services, as well as on-demand buses, during the holy month.

Riyadh Metro operating hours during Eid Al-Fitr

  • From Friday March 20, to Monday March 23 the Riyadh Metro will operate daily from 11am until midnight

Riyadh buses

  • Friday March 20, from 6.30am to midnight.
  • Saturday March 21 to March 23, from 5am to midnight.

Buses on demand

  • From Friday, March 20 until Monday March 23, from 10.30am to 12.30am

These modifications reflect the Authority’s keenness to provide flexible transportation options that suit the needs of residents during the months of Ramadan, and this update is accompanied by an emphasis on the importance of the Riyadh Metro as part of the urban transport system in the capital.

There are six main lines and 84 stations covering a distance of 176 kilometres. The Riyadh Metro network covers most of the highly populated districts, government facilities, and key educational and commercial areas. It is also connected to

The six lines are:

  • Blue Line: Olaya to Batha’a, covering a 38km distance
  •  Red Line: King Abdullah Road, covering a 25.3km distance
  •  Orange Line: Al Madina Al Monawara to Prince Saad bin Abdul Rahman Al Awal road, cover a 40.7km distance
  •  Yellow line: King Khaled International Airport Road, covering a 29.6km distance
  •  Green line: King Abdul Aziz Road, covering a 12.9km distance
  •  Violet Line: Abdul Rahman bin Aouf road to Shiekh Hassan bin Hussain bin Ali road, covering a 30km distance

Riyadh buses

There are more than 2,860 bus stops and stations in the city, covering a total length of 1,905 kilometres with a daily capacity of 500,000. There are currently 53 operational bus routes, 672 buses, and 2145 bus stops and stations.
