1. Visit Diriyah’s At-Turaif and Bujairi Terrace

It’s finally open. So, come and explore the At-Turaif neighbourhood and the restaurants area in Bujairi Terrace in Diriyah. The opening season will include an array of events, performances, and activities for all visitors to experience, which will celebrate and bring the heritage site and birthplace of the Kingdom to life. Gastronomes can look forward to about 20 world-class restaurants, including several Michelin-star restaurants, such as Tatel, Hakkasan, Long Chim and Chez Bruno, as well as brands that are making their international debut, like Angelina, Brunch & Cake, Flamingo Room by tashas, Sarabeth’s and Villa Mamas.

Did you know that the world wide web turned 31 this year? Since the birth of the internet, photography has undergone significant technological developments. ‘Shared Screens’ is an exhibition of digital photographs which bears witness to this art’s evolution since the web’s appearance. It explores photography and how digital media and the internet have transformed how we view screens. This exhibition, organised by the French Embassy in Riyadh, the Alliance Française and the close collaboration of the L’Art Pur Foundation, will bring different points of view, so it’s definitely not one to miss.

3. Face off against your friends in the action-packed obstacle course

Fancy testing your skills as a ninja warrior? Check out the Ninja Warrior adventure park, a shrunken version of the popular American show in which contestants try to climb, swing and leap toward a million-dollar grand prize. Here, though, the primary rewards are a good sweat and a sense of accomplishment. It’s an obstacle course for children and adults where they go through challenges to test their physical limits. Whether you are experienced or just a beginner, use your balance, strength and ninja prowess to get to the finishing line.

4. Tuck into a lovely afternoon tea at A.O.K Kitchen
For a relaxed afternoon tea in Riyadh, head to the warm, cosy setting of A.O.K. Kitchen in KAFD as it unveils its new concept. Suspended cake stands come laden with finger sandwiches, cakes and pastries and freshly baked scones with homemade preserves and clotted cream. Teas include an impressive selection of green, black, and bespoke herbal tea infusions. But should you fancy it, a cool glass (or bottle) of premium non-alcoholic bubbly is also available.

5. Experience The Groves at Diplomatic Quarter

For those who still haven’t visited The Groves, it is a whole adventure here. Set in the Diplomatic Quarter’s Al-Khuzama Park, this Riyadh Season zone fuses entertainment with hospitality and an indoor and outdoor experience. Check out the craft market and the variety of restaurants available – from the Zama Zulu restaurant offering African dishes along with live dance shows, and the Zodiac Garden restaurant specialising in Italian and Japanese dishes, to an authentic Italian pizzeria and a Greek-inspired restaurant, Khawaja Yanni. If you love the cold, immerse yourself in the Arctic experience, where the temperature reaches -8 degrees inside The Polar Ice Bar, while football fans can head to the Wadi World Cup Lounge, where the World Cup matches will be screened.

During your visit, you will experience detailed designs, architectural models, and informative films explaining the project in all its glory. The six-month-long exhibition in Riyadh offers a far more enriching and engaging experience that takes visitors on a remarkable journey, giving you an in-depth view of NEOM’s sectors and its surrounding natural landscapes where people and technology will come together in harmony with nature. There will also be guided tours available in Arabic and English.
