A gorgeous cultural escape is coming to Riyadh. First announced in 2022 as a project by the Boutique Group, The Red Palace hotel in Riyadh is poised to become one of the most incredible staycations in the capital.
Riyadh’s Red Palace will be transformed into a hotel featuring 44 luxury suites inside the palace and 25 luxury guest rooms under Boutique Group, wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF). The stunning palace’s renovation has just selected its lead architect and interior designer to revamp the space, according to MEP Middle East.
Renowned international firm Aedas, alongside Tristan Auer, an interior architect, will be the two entities behind the renewal of the Red Palace, one of the three royal residences Boutique Group will be into luxurious escapes. The other two palaces include the Al Hamra Palace in Jeddah and the Tuwaiq Palace in Riyadh.
The refurbished hotel will provide a royal experience in the heart of Riyadh and feature 26 deluxe rooms, seven public events, and five high-end restaurants nestled inside the venue. If you’re after more of a royal experience, there will also be one royal suite and eight spa suites. Each of the suites will be equipped with private butler services.

Initially constructed in 1943 by Saudi Arabia’s founding father, King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud, as a gift to King Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the palace saw the phases of the formation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Considered the first building constructed with reinforced concrete in the Kingdom, The Red Palace was later classified within the urban heritage of the Kingdom.
