Barry’s wellness retreat returns to Banyan Tree Alula this September
The three-night retreat takes place from September 26 to 29, with Barry’s classes, yoga, meditation, and spa treatments included…
Grab a suitcase and your trainers – this fit holiday at Banyan Tree AlUla will give you serious wanderlust.
Set on a sprawling 300-hectare site in a neat enclave in Ashar Valley’s rolling desert vistas, the renowned Thai-born wellness group’s location in AlUla is a destination-worthy retreat with standout spa and wellness offerings. (Not to mention a jaw-dropping Rock Pool nestled between the rugged rocks.) It’s easy to simply switch off and relax in this haven of otherworldly tranquillity.
For those looking to reset after the summer season while nourishing their mind, body, and soul, the resort is partnering with global fitness giant Barry’s for the second time to offer guests a three-night wellness retreat – perfect if you want to go on a full wellness retreat and stay active.
Taking place from Thursday September 26 to Sunday September 29, Barry’s wellness retreat package includes a three-night stay in Banyan Tree AlUla’s luxurious tented Dune Villa, a healthy cooking class, spa treatment, airport transfers, and more.
What to expect at the retreat
It’ll be a weekend of holistic wellness and fitness activities, including four invigorating Barry’s sessions hosted by Lina Antar and Farah Adra, Barry’s expert instructors. The wellness retreat will also feature Barry’s iconic Red Room and hybrid-style training.
You will participate in Barry’s Full Body Workout in two daily sessions. All four workouts will target different body areas, combining HIIT, strength training, bodyweight, mobility, and weights to deliver a results-driven upper and lower body session. There’ll be plenty of partner workouts, too, focusing on slow strength and injecting a dose of teamwork and a social element into the session.
When you’re done sweating it out, unwind at the Banyan Tree Spa, nestled between the soaring, tawny-hued rocks, with a rejuvenating 60-minute spa treatment.
Or chill by the tranquil rock pool with the valley on the horizon – best enjoyed at sunrise and sunset when the rays soak into the temperature-controlled water.
Otherwise, you can also enjoy the exclusivity of your own private villa or explore AlUla’s ancient local surroundings.
An array of daily sessions is also available, such as morning yoga and stretching sessions, and evening sound healing sessions under the starry desert skies.
Guests on Barry’s wellness retreat will also get full board, dining at the hotel’s two restaurants, including authentic Thai Saffron and traditional Middle Eastern Harrat, with views overlooking the mirrored Maraya concert hall, as well as a special Bedouin Tent Dinner while stargazing.
To ensure health and well-being continue at home, there will be a healthy cooking class, where you can embrace your inner chef and learn the secret to creating delicious and nutritious dishes, followed by a lunch of your creations.
The all-inclusive three-night stay is priced at SAR3,900 per person per night in a Dune One-Bedroom Villa, or SAR4,250 per person per night in a Dune One-Bedroom Pool Villa, with a minimum of two guests per room.
