The Riyadh Metro is all-set to introduce a brand new line next year
Which colour will this one be?
The 2026 plan for the development of Riyadh has been revealed and will see the rollout of a new metro line. First announced in 2024, the Riyadh Metro Line 7 will serve Qiddiya, Diriyah, and beyond.
Confirmed by Saudi Gazette, the metro extension is among the resident-facing additions that will support the city’s ongoing expansion and improve access to services and entertainment destinations like Six Flags Qiddiya, At-Turaif and Bujairi Terrace.

Riyadh Metro Line 7
The project involves constructing a metro line linking Qiddiya Entertainment City, King Abdullah International Gardens, King Salman Park, Misk City and Diriyah Gate. The total length of the line will be about 65 kilometres, of which 47 kilometres will be underground, while 19 kilometres will be above ground.
Line 7 will have 19 stations, 14 of which will be built underground and five overground, and is scheduled to enter its initial implementation phase in 2026.
