The glorious Six Senses AMAALA is opening its doors this month
And the property is now accepting reservations
Wellness truly comes to life at Six Senses Southern Dunes; now the brand is expanding to the jaw-dropping AMAALA project with the soon-to-open Six Senses AMAALA.
Set to open its doors in mid-July, Six Senses AMAALA spans more than 1,600 square miles of protected Red Sea coastline. Picture this: ancient desert peaks on one side and glittering coves that are home to thriving coral reefs on the other, making for the perfect view.

The resort is home to 100 suites and villas and 25 branded residences, inspired by traditional Saudi coastal architecture and hospitality, and has been woven into the natural terrain to welcome families and groups travelling together.
The landscape invites adventures into the desert and snorkelling and diving among some of the world’s most vivid coral reefs. The Corallium Marine Life Institute houses a state-of-the-art ocean research and experience centre, and the AMAALA Yacht Club brings together a vibrant sailing community.
The spa

The spa at Six Senses Southern Dunes already has our heart, so we can only imagine what’s in store for us at the new property. Inspired by a hidden desert oasis, treatment rooms at the spa open onto private terraces with lagoon views for signature massages and a nice slice of pampering.
The outdoor Watsu pool invites gentle release through movements guided by an expert, followed by a dedicated sound dome that offers calming sensory experiences, while the Longevity Centre features cutting-edge science without forgetting the soul, including cryotherapy, PEMF therapy, and personal consultations.
Separate male and female thermal areas include saunas, a salt room, and vitality pools. Daily yoga and fitness classes, more intentional multi-day programmes, and group retreats round out the wellness journeys.
Dining
Perched atop the mesa with wide Red Sea views, Soraya restaurant is an evening destination in its own right. The menu celebrates an artful fusion of Japanese precision and Latin American passion: delicate sushi and citrus-bright ceviche, refined knife work, bold marinades, and powerful flavours.
Joud offers all-day Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, from nourishing breakfasts to wood-fired pizzas and vibrant mezze dinners. Then there’s Beach Shack, where the mood is more casual, with tables located just steps from the water; you can look forward to enjoying grilled seafood, homemade pastas, or refreshing sundowners.
Beyond the three restaurants, there’s also Bunna coffee roastery, Makhbaz artisan bakery, and the Nafas cooking school, which carry Saudi flavour through the resort’s everyday life.
Getting there

The resort is a 45-minute drive from AlWajh International Airport, or 20 minutes by seaplane, or two hours from Red Sea International Airport (RSI), where airport concierge and lounge services are available on landing from Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Malé, Milan, and Riyadh, and private jet connections are welcomed from global destinations.
