Ramadan in Riyadh just got sweeter with Parker’s sweet treats

Treat yourself to Parker’s Ramadan Treats…

Remember when Parker’s second pop-up concept in Saudi Arabia came to Riyadh’s Diriyah Season in 2019? It created a social media storm about finding a hidden key for a chance to dine at Parker’s.

The concept was first implemented in Dubai, and after its initial success, more restaurants followed, including a permanent Parker’s Beach House in Khobar – and yes, how fortunate for those residing in the Eastern Province.

Fret not, though. We have good news for the rest of us in Riyadh. Parker’s may not be opening its restaurant in the capital city (yet), but you now have the chance to enjoy five types of Mr Parker’s Ramadan treats.

Here’s what you can order…

The Matilda Cake (SAR250) – inspired by Roald Dahl’s book – is the ultimate chocolate cake for chocolate lovers. It has layers of chocolate sponge, rich and creamy chocolate ganache and chocolate flakes. Sinfully decadent with delicious chocolatey goodness in every bite.

Bursting with fresh mango flavour, the Mango Pull Me (SAR250) is a showstopper and truly tastes as good as it looks. It melds creamy, crunchy, and fruity worlds with layers of butter biscuits, mango custard, homemade mango sorbet, and sweet mango puree.

Looking for a picnic dessert to pack in your basket? The Picnic Cake (SAR230) will be the star of your next gathering. The light, fluffy texture and the combination of coconut, fresh raspberries and gobs of coconut cream cheese is a crowd-pleaser, while the roasted almonds add an unexpected crunch. Don’t forget to request its picnic-worthy cups, too.

The Cheesecake Crack (SAR250) is not your classic New York-style cheesecake. Instead, Mr Parker’s version is creamy, and the crumbly texture with its gooey centre and the perfume from the fresh strawberries will explode on your taste buds. Only available for this Ramadan.

Fans of Banoffee Pie (SAR270), this one’s for you. With a biscuity base, the pie is layered with fresh bananas and caramel sauce and then finished with generous heaps of chocolate shavings.

Just don’t be surprised if you have a hankering for a sweet treat after reading this scrumptious list.

Parker’s Ramadan Treats in Riyadh can be ordered via The Chefz app for delivery. Alternatively, you can choose to pick up your orders at KAFD (Salt Camp Sugar Door) using the Independent at Home app. Tel: 920 024 788. @parkers
