A cosy movie night is taking place at Jeddah’s Humming Tree this weekend
See an Oscar-winning short film…
Pass the popcorn, an exclusive screening of the Oscar-winning short film, The Neighbours’ Window, is taking place at Jeddah’s Humming Tree on Thursday, September 16.
This session’s film is about an exhausted New Yorker in her late 30s who has her life shaken up after a younger couple moves in across the street.
The film was inspired by a true story by Diane Weipert and picked up the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film at the 2020 Oscars ceremony.
The 20-minute film will be followed by a group discussion on the movie, so if you love to share ideas with like-minded individuals, this is the event for you.
Humming Tree is a cool co-working and community space in Jeddah that’s all about nurturing creativity and wellbeing.
What we love about the place is that it has lots of greenery and a small outdoor space where you can enjoy some fresh air. Inside, the space gets a lot of sunlight and is filled with inspiration; from murals on walls to positive messages filling every corner and plants.

Access to the co-working aspect requires a membership. However, Humming Tree hosts regular events that are open to the whole community.
So if you’re looking for something different to do this Thursday, head down to Humming Tree to enjoy the latest ‘Short Film and Discussion’ session.
There is an entrance fee of SAR50, and attendees must pre-register. Popcorn and other refreshments will be served.
