All the festivals still to look forward to in Saudi Arabia in 2023

Saudi Arabia is a country where the majority of events happen when it’s cooler, so mostly during the last six months of the year. These include the massive citywide festivals still to look forward to in Saudi Arabia in 2023 like Riyadh Season, Diriyah Season, and Winter at Tantora. Plus musical events like MDLBEAST and Azimuth too. All these and so many more are yet to come back for 2023, read on to find out more.


After a hugely successful event in 2022, Azimuth returns this September in the dreamy AlUla desert. The festival will run from Thursday September 21 to Friday September 22, presenting a celebration of East and West through music, art and experience.

13 of the best regional stars have been confirmed to perform at Azimuth amplified by MDLBeast 2023. They include Dish Dash, Baloo, KAYAN, NOMAD, Narkbeat, Dorar, Zone+, Anmarz, DJB10, and DJ Sokkary.


AlUla Desert Blaze

You’ve heard of sports challenges and races being brutal, but surely not like this. The very first AlUla Desert Blaze is almost upon us, and if you’re looking for ways to challenge yourself as an athlete, this is the one for you.

AlUla Moments/ Winter at Tantora

As part of the ever-impressive AlUla Moments calendar, the dazzling desert destination sees the return of Winter at Tantora from Thursday, December 21 2023 to Sunday, January 20 2024. The region’s longest-running festival features the best of fine arts, music, fashion, and food promises a month of exciting pop-ups and unmissable experiences.


AlUla Wellness Festival

If you’re after a chill staycation in the country, you need to head to AlUla during the AlUla Wellness Festival. The festival will be happening from October 19 to November 4 and will focus on the healing power of silence, art and nature.


Ancient Kingdoms Festival

The first-of-its-kind Ancient Kingdoms Festival returns to the country this December. Happening from November 17 to December 3, AlUla brings the past into the present with experiences inspired by the significance of 7,000 years of successive civilizations on the Arabian Peninsula and the famed incense road trading route that cemented AlUla as the bustling commercial and cultural crossroad.


Riyadh Season

Riyadh Season is also officialy coming back, and the very first event has also been announced already. A Fury vs Ngannou Riyadh Season fight has been confirmed as part of Riyadh Season. The two mega giants, Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou (former UFC heavyweight champion) will be facing each other in the ring on Saturday October 28 after the opening of  Riyadh Season.
