Sisi’s Eatery, an Austrian restaurant from Dubai, opens in Riyadh

Foodies, here’s something new and exciting to Riyadh’s ever-growing culinary scene. Get a taste of Austria at Sisi’s Eatery, an all-day dining Viennese-inspired restaurant.
Inspired by the charming soul of Vienna and the spirit of the legendary Empress Sisi of Austria, Sisi’s Eatery officially opens on Tuesday August 29 at Al Nakheel Mall in Riyadh. It brings an enchanting European flair to the heart of Riyadh with authentic dishes featuring a Viennese twist.

According to its teaser post on Instagram, you can expect a timeless European design for the new eatery, with a colour palette inspired by vintage tones, such as blush, sage and hunter green. Black and ivory neutrals provide a bold contrast overall.
And just like its outpost in Dubai, furnishings finished with rattan, wood and velvet will make an appearance. The space will also feature a majestic spiral staircase that rises to the ceiling and will incorporate greenery and florals, including inverted wildflower bouquet chandeliers.
As for the menu? Sisi’s Eatery specialises in Viennese cuisine. The all-day diner prides itself on serving handcrafted cuisine, traditional baked goods, speciality coffees and plenty of cakes.
Breakfast will be the focus here. Journey through a menu of both international favourites and Austrian classics with a modern twist, from kaiserschmarrn and schnitzel to the renowned sachertorte and other great selections of desserts.
The kaiserschmarrn – made from shredded pancake, fruit compote and hazelnut spread – is a popular dish to start the day with, especially in cooler months. We’re hoping the Riyadh branch will also feature a dedicated kaiserschmarrn station to serve up the fluffy pancake all day.
