If you’ve been patiently waiting for the return of one of the biggest sporting events on the Saudi calendar, your time is now. The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2024 is happening this weekend, and here’s everything you need to know about the event.

History
The Saudi Arabian GP was first added to the F1 calendar in 2021. In its inaugural year, the race was won by seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton for Mercedes. And in 2022, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen held off Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari to win the 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

The main Jeddah races will be happening in the cooler evenings, but the race schedule goes beyond that. During the afternoon, there will be a Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East First Practice Session, followed by practice sessions like the FIA Formula 2 Practice Session, F1 Academy Practice Session, and Formula 1 First Practice Session, respectively, on Thursday March 7.
On Friday March 8, we’re looking forward to the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East Qualifying Session, F1 Academy First Race (13 Laps, Max 30 Mins + 1 Lap), and Formula 1 Team Pit Stop Practice which will be followed by Formula 1 Qualifying Session and Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East First Race (11 Laps or 25 Mins).

Lastly, on Saturday March 9, there will be the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East Second Race (11 Laps or 25 Mins), F1 Academy Second Race (13 Laps, Max 30 Mins + 1 Lap), FIA Formula 2 Feature Race (28 laps or 60 Mins + 1 lap), the Formula 1 Drivers Parad, and more.
Concerts
On Friday March 8, Fisher will step onto the Main Stage and energise the crowd when he brings with him a blockbuster catalogue of dance hits that include crowd favourites like “Losing It”, “Atmosphere”, and “Take It Off”. The producer will also be joined by global sensation A$AP Rocky has now been added to the line-up for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix after-race concert on Friday March 8.
Followed by major artists like Pharrell Williams, Dutch DJ Martin Garrix, and RnB sensation Alicia Keys will all be taking the stage on Saturday March 9.
Tickets
Tickets for massive events have already gone on sale. Categories include general admission, central grandstand, main grandstand, premium lounge, premium suite, and paddock club. Book your spot here.
Premium lounge includes access to headline concerts as well as entry to on-site Fan Villages and the Jeddah Art Promenade, ticket prices start from SAR13,800. The premium suite includes access Meet and Greet services, VIP shuttle transportation to the paddock, the Jeddah yacht club, access to the promenade, and the post-racing concert’s exclusive VIP platform, fan zone and Promenade dining restaurants for SAR18,975.
Each of the remaining tickets offers different views of the track. Main Grandstand A and B tickets will both get you access to headline concerts, Fan Villages, and the Jeddah Art Promenade ticket prices start from SAR640 and SAR460 respectively.
Lastly, for Central Grandstand A, B, C, and D, ticket prices start at SAR150 and give you access to Fan Villages, the Jeddah Art Promenade, and concerts.
