Aquarabia, the region’s biggest water theme park, is set to open in Qiddiya City

The water park will feature 22 rides and attractions, including record-breaking waterslides…

Whether you’re four or 40, there’s nothing quite like the thrill of zipping down a waterslide on a hot summer day, feeling the rush of adrenaline that comes with every twist, turn, and drop, and then plummeting into a shallow pool, climbing out, and doing it all over again.

And soon, you’ll be able to make your family outing a huge splash at Aquarabia, Saudi Arabia’s first home-grown water theme park in Qiddiya City.

There’s something for every park-goer here

Spread over an expansive 250,000m square metres (Think: the size of 33 football pitches), with a collection of 22 rides and attractions, Aquarabia will be touted as the first water theme park of its kind in Saudi Arabia, and the largest in the region, offering immersive and narrative-based design elements and attractions seldom seen in water parks.

Always looking to push the limits of water-themed fun, the water theme park’s concept is based on the ancient desert wellsprings and Qiddiya’s wildlife seeking an oasis.

It will boast five world firsts, such as Junoon Drop, the world’s tallest water coaster; Speedy Jamezales, the world’s tallest drop body slide; Slithereel, the longest water slide; and Jamal Joom, the longest mat racer.

Aquarabia will also feature Aquaticar, the first underwater adventure ride featuring fully submersible cars.

It isn’t just a water park

The water theme park consists of eight different zones. Packing in thrills and storytelling details in every corner, a day spent here goes above and beyond an ordinary water park experience.

Aquarabia Camel Rock zone

Those looking to unwind will enjoy an array of experiences at Aquarabia – from the park icon Camel Rock, the family-friendly Dhub Grotto, and the Wave Wadi beach bay with a giant wave pool to The Den private zone for ladies and children, and the Arabian Peak, an adults-only retreat that includes a private leisure pool with breath-taking views.

Meanwhile, adrenaline lovers will enjoy an extreme watersports zone, Herding Ground, dedicated to rafting, kayaking, canyoneering, free solo climbing, and cliff jumping, the Viper Canyon adventurous zone, as well as the Kingdom’s first surf pool, Surftopia.

A real thrill

Aquarabia will complement Six Flags Qiddiya City, the city’s flagship theme park and the first Six Flags park to be designed and built outside of North America. Both parks are located within Qiddiya City in an entirely walkable neighbourhood, where visitors can find a unique selection of activities and a broad range of hotels, dining options and even a green oasis to unwind and recharge between exhilarating rides and adrenaline-pumping experiences.

Through innovative design and infrastructure, visitors will move around effortlessly, minimising journey time and maximising enjoyment. The seamless connection between both new parks is a statement that in Qiddiya City, every moment spent exploring is filled with excitement.

Currently under construction, Aquarabia and Six Flags Qiddiya City are expected to be completed in 2025 and will be the first attractions in Qiddiya City to open for visitors.

The unveiling of Aquarabia follows the announcement of many exciting entertainment, sports, and cultural attractions in Qiddiya City, including the world’s first multi-use Gaming and Esports District, the multi-sports Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium, the Speed Park track, and the Dragon Ball theme park.
