Taking place in February 2025, the race will be held in Jeddah on the Jeddah Corniche Circuit used by Formula 1.

Previously, the all-electric championship race has traditionally been held at a street circuit around Diriyah in Riyadh, with the first Diriyah E-Prix held in 2018.

Diriyah has been the host city in Saudi Arabia for the past six seasons.

Welcome to Jeddah

Jeddah will now host the Saudi Arabia double-header, scheduled for Friday February 14 and Saturday February 15, 2025.

The Jeddah E-Prix is set to race on a shortened version of Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Corniche Circuit during the 2024-25 season, the same track which has been used for Formula 1 races.

But more details on the official track layout have yet to be announced.

On the switch, a Formula E spokesperson said, “The Jeddah E-Prix will offer an exhilarating race experience on a modified layout of the fast and flowing Corniche street circuit, contributing to the growth of motorsport in the region.”

“With its breathtaking Red Sea backdrop, the 2025 Jeddah E-Prix promises an unforgettable experience for fans and competitors alike.”

What do you think of the move to Jeddah, though? Fans can register here to be the first to find out more.
