Restaurant Review: Crazy Pizza Riyadh

Dinner and a show? Don’t mind if we do…

Crazy Pizza Riyadh first opened its doors in 2022 and has since become a staple in the Riyadh dining scene. Currently, the brand has two locations, although we may be slightly partial to the branch located along the bustling Tahlia Street.

The energetic but chic venue is decked out in gorgeous flowers from the get-go. As you make your way into the restaurant, you’ll be greeted by cheery staff members eager to assist you. The venue promises theatrical pizza twirling, stylish interiors, and some of the best thin-crust pizza you’ve ever eaten, so when we tell you we were excited, we mean it. And let’s just say Crazy Pizza delivered (and then some).

The menu focuses on classic Italian heritage with its dishes while keeping it more contemporary by using more modern techniques and flair. The restaurant’s decor pays homage to the love of good food, especially good pizza. Look around and you’ll see the likes of Julia Roberts enjoying what looks to be an incredible slice of pizza, getting you in the mood to enjoy the same.

But let’s take this back to the actual reason we’re all here. The food, of course. One look at the menu and we can say we wanted to order one of everything, but we kept it tame (well, as tame as we could’ve been).

We started our meal with apps like the crispy Diavola Prawns (SAR78) dipped in a spicy Calabrian sauce, and delicious Baby Calamari (SAR130) which we recommend you definitely try. The Bresaola (SAR110) also comes highly recommended, and with good reason, Truffle French Fries (SAR58) make for the perfect pairing alongside the following course, and our potential favourite starter Corn Salad (SAR88).

For our mains, we had what was described as one of the best cold pizza in town (and we’d have to agree), Pizza Buffalo (SAR85), Homemade pappardelle (SAR75), and an incredible truffle ravioli pecorino (SAR75).

Did we mention that the spinning shows are back? Watch as the expert chefs skilfully toss and spin pizzas in the air, creating a captivating display for diners to enjoy. Come for the pizza, stay for the spinning shows.
