Japanese food and Riyadh basically go hand in hand at this point. It seems every week, we’re welcoming a new spot. And this is one experience that is coming to the capital for a limited time only. Chef Tetsu will be taking over the usually signature Californian spot to invite you to experience the art of sushi. Bringing 30 years of artistry to the table, the chef will be in town until February 6, while the sushi counter will be a permanent addition to the restaurant.

Diriyah Storytelling Festival

Diriyah Season is currently hosting a vibrant gathering spot for literature lovers, showcasing a major exhibition of novelists, hosting workshops led by renowned international storytellers, and offering a variety of entertainment zones for all visitors.

Calling all manga fans. The much-anticipated “Manga Hokusai Manga” exhibition is here, showcasing the works of the renowned Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai. It highlights the history and evolution of manga, and provides a perspective on how Hokusai’s classical illustrations have influenced modern visual arts. With more than 4,000 sketches across 15 volumes, the collection depicts various aspects of daily life, landscapes, and whimsical creatures, signalling a new era in Japanese illustration art.

To say we love our food out here in Riyadh would be an understatement, so I’ll say a day isn’t complete without it (which it can’t be), but you know what I mean. So, what’s better than celebrating it at the incredible Food Culture Festival in Riyadh? Happening from Wednesday February 5 until Sunday February 9, at Grassy Park in Al Safarat, the Food Culture Festival will also be taking over Khobar and Jeddah too. Organised by the Ministry of Culture’s Culinary Commission, the festival will be spread out over four areas, including the exhibitor’s area, the workshop area, the kids’ area, and a theatre area.
