Here's how our first-ever What's On the Menu went down at White Robata
A night to remember…
Our first What’s On the Menu in Saudi Arabia was a massive success and ended our evening, Sunday February 16, on the highest note. We teamed up with White Robata, Umm Al Hamam Al Gharbi, for a one-of-a-kind exclusive dinner party. This is what went down at What’s On the Menu at White Robata.

Located in the gorgeous Laysen Valley complex, the dinner unfolded at the restaurant’s newly opened terrace with the beautiful Riyadh skyline as the backdrop.
Complete with interactive tableside serving, perfectly crafted mocktails, and some quite delightful dishes, it’s safe to say the evening was one of the finest evenings we’ve had in a while.
What was on the menu?
The menu for the evening was divided into four sections and perfectly complimented by a wide variety of mocktails (we said to keep the wasabi lemonades coming). To begin our meal, we tucked into the salad and sushi portion of the menu, which featured the grilled corn and Tokyo salads, the omakase nigiri/aburi platter, hamachi usuzukuri, and the Pacific roll.
Followed by appetizers like the siracha honey shrimp, Wagyu kushiyaki, chicken yakitori, and a deliciously unique crispy avocado. Moving along to the real meat of the article and meal, the main course featured lobster fried rice, short rib mushroom rice, citrus miso black cod, black angus tenderloin, also served alongside the delicious broccolini.
Rounding out the dinner just when we thought we couldn’t possibly eat anymore, out comes dessert. The sweet menu included the matcha créme brulee, sous vide apple pecan crumble, Valhorna chocolate fondant (which was to die for, by the way), and the black sesame soft serve (which strikes the perfect balance between sweet and savoury).
