The Riyadh Season WBC Boxing Grand Prix promises to be an unmissable event in the world of boxing. And while there are a few details like locations and timings that still need to be ironed out, some of the details, like weight classes and the number of athletes, have been revealed.
Featuring four weight categories: featherweight, super lightweight, middleweight, and heavyweight, the tournament will be welcoming 128 athletes from all over the world—41 countries to be precise. That makes it out to be 32 participants in each division.
Picture five incredible events all taking place in Saudi Arabia, with all bouts focusing on bringing emerging talents to light and providing exciting matchups for fans around the world.
How the matchups will work is that there will be no draws. Each fight will have decisive results, open scoring after rounds two, four, and six, making sure to provide transparency and excitement. There will also be instant replay, ensuring fair and accurate scoring by officials.
