La Plage Beach Resort in Jeddah sets the scene for a night of deep, rhythmic sounds as South African Afro-House producer and DJ Enoo Napa takes over on Thursday April 2. Joined by Dasha Mell and Gio, expect a smooth, atmospheric set where Afro-house meets the sea.

From April 2: Try a new restaurant at VIA Riyadh

Berenjak

Good news for fans of Persian cuisine in Riyadh – Berenjak is coming back, and this time it’s here to stay. After drawing crowds during its limited-time pop-up early last year, the London-born restaurant is officially opening a permanent location. Berenjak will open at the former chi Spacca space at VIA Riyadh on Thursday April 2. Meals at Berenjak are meant to be enjoyed family-style, with shallow dishes of mezze, fresh bread, khoresht (stews), and kebabs spread across the table. Reservations are now open for lunch and dinner, so don’t wait too long to secure your spot.

April 4: A new theatre show is coming to Jeddah

Art lovers can visit the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale, one of the region’s premier contemporary art events, currently happening at JAX District in Diriyah. The exhibition features over 65 artists from more than 37 countries, presenting installations, performances, video works, and sound-based art that examine themes of movement, culture, and exchange. On until Saturday May 2, it offers a chance to experience vibrant global creativity right in Riyadh’s neighbourhood.

April 23 to 29: The Saudi Film Festival is back for its new edition at Ithra

Dhahran is getting ready for its most cinematic week of the year. The 12th Saudi Film Festival will run Thursday April 23 to Wednesday April 29 at Ithra (King Abdulaziz Centre for World Culture), bringing filmmakers, audiences, and industry leaders back to the Eastern Province for seven days of screenings, conversations, and creative momentum. This year’s festival explores the theme of “Cinema of the Journey”, presenting a selection of Arab and international films, both short and feature-length, that centre on journeys and movement as essential storytelling elements, alongside a special focus on Korean cinema.
