Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA has officially opened its doors

The first resort to open at Saudi Arabia’s luxury wellness destination is now welcoming guests

It’s official. After years of anticipation, AMAALA has officially welcomed its first guests with the opening of the Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay.

And it looks every bit as stunning as we hoped it would.

Developed by Red Sea Global (RSG), the new opening marks the start of operations at AMAALA, the Kingdom’s highly anticipated wellness-focused destination on Saudi Arabia’s north-western coast.

Set along the pristine shoreline of Triple Bay, the resort is the first of eight properties expected to open at AMAALA this year. It also marks Red Sea Global’s second destination launch, following the opening of The Red Sea.

Designed by Dubai-based U+A architects, the resort features 202 guest rooms, suites and garden villas overlooking the Red Sea, as well as 26 branded private residences, each with a private pool.

The resort is also home to the 2,095-square-metre HYLIAA Wellness & Spa, and a dedicated fitness hub for tailored training and recovery experiences.

Activities are built around three themes – sky, land and sea – and range from sunrise and starlight yoga on the beach, sound healing sessions, and interaction with visiting practitioners to guided walks and night hikes, culinary workshops, Islamic poetry readings, and guided stargazing and astrology.

Guests can also join one-, two- and three-day wellness programmes tailored to different goals, whether that’s improving fitness, switching off from everyday life or reconnecting with nature.

Guests won’t need to venture far for a good meal, with six open-air dining venues located throughout the resort.

Among the highlights is MAA Social, which serves Middle Eastern coastal cuisine with a focus on wholesome, nutrient-rich ingredients. There’s also OAASIS Lounge and ALMAA Pool & Bar, offering Mediterranean dishes and refreshing drinks.

More venues are set to open later this year, including ZAATAR, which will serve Asian, Persian and Arabian flavours, and SAFAA Beach Bar and Lounge. Meanwhile, ROCK BAAR is likely to become one of the resort’s most sought-after sunset spots, perched above Dumega Bay and serving mocktails and tapas overlooking the Red Sea.

Families are well catered for too, with five swimming pools, a 900-metre private beach, a fully supervised ‘Kids for All Seasons’ programme, and a dedicated club for teenagers.

Guests will also have access to the wider Triple Bay development, including the Corallium Marine Life Institute, the AMAALA Yacht Club, and the Marina Village’s high-end retail and dining options.

Like other Red Sea Global developments, the resort runs on 100 per cent renewable energy and forms part of the company’s wider regenerative tourism strategy.

With its first guests now checked in and more resorts set to open in the coming months, AMAALA is finally moving from vision to reality.

For now, this is only the beginning.
