5 new burger joints in Riyadh for an ultimate all-out indulgence

Caution: Graphic burger imagery follows…

Saudi Arabia is teeming with tasty burger joints from city to city, and it’s next to impossible to choose just one. Here, we check out five new places in Riyadh that will hurl you straight into hamburger heaven.

BRGR Room

Hailing from Jeddah, BRGR Room takes their burger biz very seriously. There are eight different burgers on the menu, and while you can’t go wrong with any of them, #10 is our usual order. Pickled onions, cheddar cheese, crispy lettuce, and spicy mayo sauce on a grilled beef patty sandwiched between two brioche buns. We think you’d be hard-pressed to find a more satisfyingly combo.

BRGR Room, Available in Riyadh only via delivery on Jahez, Lugmety and The Chefz apps, Mon to Sat 1pm to 1am. @brgrroom

Crafty Crab

Crafty Crab is an almost perfect homage to SpongeBob SquarePants’ favourite fast-food joint. Its nautically themed interiors and colourful walls may make you feel like you’re under the sea; it’s no wonder that they only serve shrimps burger, salmon burger and hammour burger. You shouldn’t miss the thinly sliced Cajun potato chips, too.

Crafty Crab, Anas Ibn Malik Rd, Al Yasmin, RJ8Q+WF, daily noon to 2am. Tel: 050 394 4564. @craftycrabsa

Worthy

It’s called Worthy for a good reason. There are only three chicken burgers and three beef burgers to choose from, but our favourite has to be the spicy garlic chicken. Crispy fried chicken, lettuce, and the addition of the slight kick of the garlic honey sauce makes this one worth every riyal. If you’re still hungry for some insane reason, munch on some truffle fries or sweet and spicy shrimps.

Worthy, Takhassusi St, Al Mohammadiyyah, PMG3+6C, Thurs & Fri 1pm to 2am, Sat to Wed 1pm to 1am. @worthy_sa

Over

Slicker than your average, Over is an industrial-style diner with neon lights and pop art paintings on the wall. Their juicy patties are made from black Angus beef, warm buns are baked in-house, and their Super Over burgers are customisable. Best enjoyed with Over curly fries and a thick vanilla milkshake topped with an ice cream sandwich.

Over, Fiorenza La Piazza, Al Mohammadiyyah, PJPW+5V, daily noon to midnight. @over_sa

This soon-to-be-opened Salt Camp pop-up experience needs no introduction, and its Insta-worthy creations deliver more than just looks. Campers gravitate here for the mouth-watering menu of burgers, sides and desserts. A must-try is its legendary Camp Fire burger. You could split it with a fellow camper, but please don’t.

Salt Camp, King Abdullah Financial District, 6282 Northern Ring Rd, Al Aqiq, QJ5Q+JW. Tel: 920 024 788. @findsalt
