10 amazing bubble tea places in Riyadh

Cool off…

Bubble Tea is one of the most popular drinks in the city, and we don’t know about you, but we’re definitely always looking for the next best one in town. Here are the best bubble tea places in Riyadh.

Bubbles Tree

Currently operating three locations in Riyadh, Bubbles Tree is a personal favourite of ours. We’d recommend getting the Taro, Matcha, or the original if you’re ordering milk tea, or you can go for fruity options like peach, mango, and strawberries. You can head to Al-Maathar, Al-Manar or Al-Yasmin locations and enjoy.

Balon Bubbles

Home to all things bubbles, Balon Bubbles is the spot to be for bubble waffles, teas, and smoothies. Currently only available on delivery platforms like Jahez, HungerStation, and TheChefz, and operating an outlet in Jeddah’s City Walk, the venue offers classic flavours like matcha, taro, and an iced salted caramel latte.

Boba Pop

We think this might be one of the best ones in town too. Boba Pop serves authentic Chinese boba tea and has four locations including Riyadh Park, Al Nakheel, Al Hamra, and Boulevard World and is also available for delivery. Top flavours include brown sugar boba, strawberry, oreo, and taro.

Why not pop on over to Happy Bear Milk Tea? The venue is straight from Taiwan and serves authentic bubble tea in all sorts of flavours like Oreo cheesecake, winter melon, and coffee. If you’re after some low-carb options, you can try out the matcha, cocoa or almond teas. The cutesy space’s decor is largely inspired by BTS’s popular Line Friends’ characters BT21. Sip on tea and snap shots with Chimmy, Tata, and Cooky.

Happy Bear Milk Tea, Prince Musaad Bin Abdulaziz St, As Sulimaniyah, Sat to Thu noon to 10pm, Fri 1pm to 11pm. Tel: 050 195 9543. @happybearmilktea

YaoYao Bubble Tea

Located in Panorama Mall, YaoYao Bubble Tea is another local favourite. The Panda-bear-themed spot serves all the classic flavours like matcha, taro, and more. Peckish? Grab a waffle to go while you’re there.

Tiger Sugar

If you haven’t heard, Taiwan’s famous and best black sugar boba milk tea is now in Riyadh (with three locations). Each cup is coated with brown sugar, and when milk is poured in, the drinks resemble the stripes of a tiger. The result? A glorious celebration of milky sweetness and flavourful teas. New to Tiger Sugar? We suggest trying black sugar milk with boba and cream mousse.
